There's no elegant way of saying this, so I'm just going to come out and say it: it pretty much sucks to be Jessica Simpson right about now. I know, I know - if I were to be really mean, I could say that it pretty much sucks to be Jessica any day of the week, but since I'd never ever say something like that, I'll just stick to mentioning the fact that the eldest of the Simpson sisters is apparently head over heels in love with her current boyfriend and latest heartthrob Tony Romo, and is basically willing to move mountains in order to hold on to their relationship. Personally, I'm not really sure about the "in love" part - or better said, I'm not very sure which part of Tony Jess cares for above all - the real man, or the publicity she gets for being part of such a "high-profile" couple. But that is a question for the ages.
"Jess has been everywhere from Mexico to Texas to Hawaii with Tony, but she's neglecting one key locale - the Nashville recording studio where she should be finishing her first country album", says an insider quoted by the National Enquirer, which broke the story. "These days the chief of Jess' record label has had a hard time even getting her on the phone", the same inside source added. Well, that doesn't really sound good for Jessica, whose career is already in ruins. I always thought that Jessica should have stuck with singing in the first place. I really don't know who told her she can act, but that person must really hate her guts. However, Jessica seems to have found a new obsession these days, and is sticking with it. I know, some people call it love.
"Jessica is totally consumed with chasing Tony, and she's making it clear that it's the most important thing to her - more important than reviving her sagging career". I really hope Jessica isn't letting go of her career as a singer thinking she can just take up acting instead. That would probably be the ultimate disaster - both for Jessica and for the rest of us. Can you imagine another catastrophe of the same magnitude as "Blonde Ambition"? And most importantly, isn't Jessica bored with people making fun of her yet? "Joe Galante, the head of Sony BMG Nashville, is furious and unless Jess straightens up and fast, they're considering cutting her loose. They're tired of unreturned phone calls and unfulfilled promises", the source adds. So, Jess, move your a*s in the studio, stick to the singing and you should be fine. At least I hope so.
