It's common knowledge that not everybody can act. But it seems that someone forgot to tell this to Jessica Simpson. So the big-chested singer went on and played the leading part in her very own movie, which is called (and really is nothing more than her own) "Blond Ambition".

The movie has been ready for some time now but the release date was set for August 3. Well, think again! Joe Simpson (yes, her father and manager), has moved the release date to the last week of August. When asked why did he do that, Papa Joe replied that there was too much competition for the movie to have an impressive opening. But that's merely a cover up excuse.

The truth is that the movie is simply too bad to be released at the time. The postproduction was not one of exceptional quality, but the main problem lies with Jessica's acting skills, if one can dare claim that she has any. The fact of the matter is the girl can't act, it's as simple as that. But the sad part is, she did not even try.

Rumors from the movie set report that Jessica did not seem focused at all on her job. I'm talking about the fact that she couldn't even finish her sentences properly. She may not have been very interested on her job, but she certainly made sure that her dog (who was always by her side) received the best care possible. She also seemed to have a thing for spending lots of time in a heated SUV. Papa Joe was quick to blame all of this on the fact that his daughter talked a lot with boyfriend John Mayer on the telephone.

He has every reason to be upset, but he is not aiming in the right direction. I believe that even Papa Joe has come to realize that his daughter can't act to save her life, but he is in denial. Meanwhile, I wouldn't be surprised if "Blond Ambition" gets postponed once again, but I will be surprised if it receives any positive acclaim at all.
