“Downton Abbey” actress says she never realized she could have simply said no

Some actresses would bare all for their art but others vouch they would never do that, saying they’d rather lose a part than have to show too much skin on camera. British actress Jessica Brown-Findlay has done one topless scene but she’s already regretting it.

The scene was included in the 2011 release “Albatross,” a trailer for which is embedded above. It’s not shown in the trailer, but you can guess where it comes in.

In a recent interview cited by the Christian Post, Jessica explains that she never realized she had the option to just say no when she shot the movie.

She doesn’t blame the director or anything, but she does regret agreeing to do the scene.

“To be honest, Albatross was naivete and not knowing that I could say no… I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind. It's not something I would do again,” she says.

Considering that “Albatross” was her first major role, it’s easy to understand why she’s saying she was too naïve.

Jessica can now be seen as Lady Sybil Crawley on “Downton Abbey.”
