14 DAY TRIAL // Former “7th Heaven” alum Jessica Biel has a great body and a style that almost always puts it in the best light. The other day, at the London premiere of her latest film, the “A-Team” remake, the actress managed to commit not one, but two fashion faux pas on the red carpet, as the Daily Mail can confirm.
Though every time Biel makes a public appearance she gets fashion insiders singing her praise, London was an exception. Not only did she wear a red dress that was almost in the exact same shade as the red carpet (a major no-no, it would seem) but she also chose a gown that actually became see-through when the flashes of the photographers’ cameras went off, which meant her underwear could be seen. This, in turn, wouldn’t be such a crime if she hadn’t chosen grandma panties for the occasion.
Dressed from head to toe in a red Giambattista Valli column dress, with matching shoes and belt, Jessica Biel seemed the closest thing to perfection – from afar. She also had Neil Lane jewels and a Tiffany & Co. clutch that completed the outfit, while she opted to wear her hair as naturally as possibly – ditto for makeup. However, when she got closer to the photographers, they soon noticed that her dress was actually see-through, which means the black lycra body she had underneath was on full display. Sadly, it also took something from the elegance of the entire outfit.
“After spending the past two months promoting the A-Team movie around the globe, Jessica Biel should be a seasoned red carpet veteran. Arriving at the London premiere of the film tonight, she managed to commit two fashion faux pas as she wore an outfit the same color as the carpet, and managed to flash her black underwear in the process. But given the shapely actress’ well-known penchant for regular workouts at the gym, she needn’t have been too worried about what the flashbulbs would show up underneath her gown,” the Mail says.
E! Online is less forgiving than this, saying Biel should have known better, especially when she is usually irreproachable on the red carpet. “Oh so close, Jessica Biel. The A-Team babe almost knocks it out of the park in this show-stopping red Giambattista Valli gown at the movie’s London premiere, but dammit the visible granny panties and frizzy hair send it into foul territory. Leave a wee bit more to the imagination next time, hon!” E! writes.
