14 DAY TRIAL // Though she’s known for her reluctance to bare her teeth in front of the camera in a smile, Jessica Alba proved she’s still a swooner when she smiled her way out of a speeding ticket.
Celebrities, they’re just like us – it is being said. In Jessica Alba’s case, that couldn’t be farther from the truth, as she proved all it takes to get out of a speeding ticket is a generous smile.
The actress was caught speeding in her SUV and was pulled over by a police officer, Hello Magazine says. She then proceeded to explain how she HAD to speed up because of the paparazzi and eventually convinced him.
Though she’s usually very private about her personal life, Alba can’t prevent the paps from learning her whereabouts. It was just one of those days when she probably tried her best to lose the paparazzi in traffic, when she was pulled over.
Luckily, all it took to get out of a speeding ticket was a bright smile and a convincing explanation that she was being chased by the paparazzi – and she was let off with a single warning.
“The Fantastic Four star was pulled over in Beverly Hills on Wednesday by the police while driving her SUV through town,” Hello says.
“After rolling down her window and flashing her pearly whites Jessica allegedly explained that she was driving quickly in order to avoid nearby paparazzi,” the magazine further says.
“The officer must have understood her plight for he let her off the hook with a warning.”
Though the actress has showed she’s not willing to comment on the incident, in true pictures are worth a thousand words fashion, photos tell the story in her stead – and offer whatever confirmation necessary, as well.
In them, the police officer is seen approaching Alba’s car with a radar gun, perhaps to show her that she had been, indeed, driving over the speed limit. In just seconds though, after what looks like no more than a friendly chat, Jessica is seen driving away.
As they say, sometimes, a smile is all it takes.
