Even with the media frenzy around Blue Ivy Carter, Beyonce and Jay-Z's first child, dying down a bit, there's still a lot of speculation on whether they will sell the rights for their daughter's first photo. Jessica Alba believes they should.

In a recent interview with CNN meant to promote her eco line of home and baby products, Honest Co, Alba opened up a bit about her experience with releasing her baby's photos.

It's a known fact that celebrities usually contract a photographer for the first “official” pics of their newborn child, which are later sold to a celebrity magazine – for big bucks, usually.

Alba did it and she knows it's the best way to “control the experience” and prevent the paparazzi from hounding the family until they snap the first picture of the child.

This is why she believes Beyonce and Jay should also consider the method, she says in the interview, as the video below will confirm.

“For our family, we just wanted to control the experience. We put the money that the picture made into a bank account for Honor to do whatever she wants to do with,” she says.

She's referring to the photos that appeared in OK! Magazine, of herself, the family and newborn baby Honor, for which she was reportedly paid $1.5 million (€1.15 million).

“It’s her picture, it’s her birth, and we didn’t want it to be like a weird thing when we were walking out of the house with her for the first time,” Alba adds of what eventually convinced her this was the best way to go.

“If there’s a price tag on your child – which is so bizarre – people will go to crazy lengths. We wanted to avoid the hysteria,” she further says.

To make sure the experience was as little weird as possible, Alba used a photographer she and husband Cash Warren were friends with, which is probably what Beyonce should also consider.

Alba ends the conversation by saying she's sure Beyonce and her husband will make the right decision regarding Blue Ivy and her first photos.

However, should they decide to sell them, they would probably command a very impressive figure, perhaps more than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got, word has it.
