Apparently, motherhood turned Jessica Alba into quite a fierce advocate for environmentally-friendly living and natural choices when it comes to dietary habits. In turn, this green behavior signed her up for being honored at this year's Environmental Media Awards.

Sources say that the people responsible for this event agreed that Jessica Alba needs to be celebrated for her efforts to teach other parents how to make healthy choices for their children without having to spend considerable amounts of money, and for offering her full support to the Safe Chemicals Act, which aims to keep families away from any substances that might prove to be toxic for them.

Given the fact that later this year Jessica is to also launch a book revolving around the same issues (green living and healthy choices), it seems to us that this celebrity is not just helping improve the health of various people who decide to follow her advice on these matters, but that she is finally getting the recognition she deserves for her environmentally-friendly views on life and society.
