Asks her family to do the same

Although she’s in a greater shape than ever, actress Jessica Alba is still trying to lose a couple of pounds more, and has turned to a rather special type of diet in order to do so. Apparently, the star has banished all white food from her diet to achieve her goal of losing the last pounds she gained while pregnant with her daughter Honor, as a source tells Life and Style Weekly, via FitCeleb.

Jessica has always run her body in a very healthy way, working out and paying attention to what she eats, but not putting in too much of an effort to look as gorgeous as she does, as she has repeatedly told the media. This time is different, though, because she just had a baby in June 2008, and some of the weight she gained while pregnant is still there. Banning all white and processed food was the only choice at this point, sources say.

However, Jessica can’t stay away from this type of food (including flour, sugar, white rice) if she doesn’t get some help and support from her family as well. Therefore, a source tells the aforementioned mag, she has also banned her family from eating what she can’t have. “In order for her to stay thin, she needs everyone to be eating how she is. Even at restaurants, Jessica will tell her mom to stay away from something.” the spy explains.

This is not the first time that word gets out of Alba’s immense efforts of staying in shape. Just recently, the actress herself admitted that she went to hell and back to lose the pregnancy weight for a Campari shoot she had to do in December 2008. So, in just a couple of months, the actress embarked on a grueling workout routine that often left her panting for air and in terrible pain all over, as per her own words.

“I did it for the Campari job.” Jessica told Elle magazine a while back. “[The workouts] were horrible. I cried. And I haven’t worked out since.” the actress added. She also used a “secret weapon” against the pounds in the form of a girdle one of her friends recommended. “I wore a girdle. Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist – any kind of band or girdle works. She was like, ‘I slept in it.’ I didn’t recover as fast as she did. I don’t have a six-pack – that’s just not my body at all.” Alba revealed in the same interview.
