For those of you hoping otherwise, this will come as a bit of a bad news - however, there's not much to be done about it. Jessica Alba, everyone, is here to stay. In a very characteristic move, the ultra-hot yet occasionally annoying and self-absorbed actress is celebrating her world-wide acknowledgment as member of the exclusive Hollywood elite by doing more work and exponentially increasing her visibility. In an interview with the Times Online, Alba reveled her lack of enthusiasm (read that disdain) for a possible relationship with e fellow Hollywood male star, as well as the fact that she has a very good opinion about herself, her instincts, her choices... well, you get the picture.
We've all had a chance to watch Jessica Alba's acting skills in action in "Awake" and "The Eye". She also has a part in the would-be summer blockbuster "The Love Guru". Her tight filming schedule has made her aware of the fact that living among her fellow actors can be tiresome. "It's not just the play-acting and drama of it all, but the people themselves", she states. "There are some great artists out there. I am just not attracted to them in any other way than as working colleagues. I am way too high-maintenance myself to be in a relationship with an actor. I do not need someone who has to have as much hair and make-up time as myself. They are also bigger divas than the women", Jessica adds. So, basically, it's good to be the famous half of the couple, because it's hard to share the media attention and the spotlight.
Despite admitting she resents the paparazzi, she admits the best advice she ever received regarding the best way to deal with the media frenzy came from none other than Kid Rock. "Kid Rock, of all people, gave me some advice. He said, 'If you have a problem with the paparazzi, then move to Michigan. Nobody will bother you there'", she reveals, before adding her own advice into the mix: "stop screaming about being photographed. You're famous - get used to it. When you are no longer famous, they will move on to somebody else".
Movie producers are another professional category that Alba despises. "They kiss a*s", she states. "Then, if you are hired and don't do well in a couple of films, they'll move on to somebody else. It's just the way things are. I've accepted there's little loyalty. They[producers] used to ask if I wanted to join them for dinner, to talk about a potential movie. It would be a chat-up line. I would always politely refuse and say, 'When you have the movie, we'll talk about it'", she reveals.
And finally, Jessica thinks she's way too clever to go the same way as Britney or Lindsay. "I don't know what it would be like to live in their shoes", she says. "You don't have to bring such attention to yourself. And once you do, there's no turning it off. It's something you don't have any control over, and they are now scrutinized, at some point, during virtually every day of their lives". By contrast, her own life is devoid of any attention seeking. "I never do anything by half measures", she concludes.
