Today is the expected day of the release of the 'Public Affair' album, but the curvy Jessica Simpson is, according to reports, not able to utter a single word about it. Because she has completely lost her voice and has been ordered to stop speaking until she fully recovers.

Right before she started heavily promoting her post-divorce music album, Jess realized that she can't speak properly and immediately flew to New York to see a voice specialist. The doctor told her that she must avoid speaking, even to her friends and family, for the next couple of days or, else, she risks damaging her vocal cords for good.

A friend of the blonde star said that, for a while now, Jessica has been communicating to the people around her by using pen and paper. But the same method couldn't possibly work for 'TRL', 'Today' and 'The Late Show With David Letterman', so she had to cancel all the appearances on promotional purposes.

Simpson's representative confirmed that his client is experiencing throat problems and said: 'She's on total vocal rest and some of her appearances have been delayed'. Just as good that she can't be out there to see and hear all those nasty reviews her latest album is generating.
