Jesse James will soon be getting headlines for something more than just his troubled personal life and alleged infidelity issues. He will return to his first love, bikes, on two special live episodes of “American Chopper,” it has emerged.

He first rose to international fame as a reality star on Discovery and TLC, so it's no surprise he plans to make a comeback, albeit just temporary, to the game, SheKnows reports.

“James will take on Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. in a special two-part American Chopper bike challenge airing Dec. 5 and 6 on the Discovery Channel,” the e-zine says.

On the show, James will do, as expected, what he does best: build bikes.

“The three will each build motorcycles, and the winner will be selected by a vote of viewers live on Dec. 6 from the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, according to a release from the Discovery Channel,” the aforementioned celebrity publication further reports.

“The Teutels, who are associated with Orange County Choppers in New York, have been featured on American Chopper and American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior since 2003 on both Discovery and TLC,” SheKnows writes.

“James of West Coast Choppers is a veteran reality TV bike builder whose credits include the 2000 documentary Motorcycle Mania and Monster Garage from 2002 to 2006, both on Discovery,” says the e-zine.

Unfortunately for Jesse James' fans, these past couple of years made his personal life overshadow his professional achievements, as they must surely know.

Shortly after ex-wife Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress, word got out that he'd been cheating on her with various tattoo models and their marriage fell apart in what was one of the biggest media scandals of all times.

His next relationship wasn't drama-free either. He started dating celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D amidst speculation that she was one of his many women he cheated on Sandra with, but the entire relationship played like a PR stunt for her reality show.

Eventually, the two announced they were engaged and planning a summer wedding for 2011 but, shortly before the ceremony, they called it off which, again, sparked lots of talk about how they were using their personal life to push their showbiz careers.

They reconciled shortly afterwards and broke up for good, with Kat hinting on Twitter he had cheated on her too.
