14 DAY TRIAL // Jesse James is a tough guy, officially now: the star was working on customizing a bike in his garage the other day, manning a machine, when he accidentally chopped his pinky right off. He even posted various gruesome pictures of the injury on his Twitter and Instagram.
The photo attached to this article has been blurred because of its graphic nature. However, a quick look on James’ Twitter will show them in all their goriness.
After the accident and the ER visit, on his way to surgery, Jesse James called in on TMZ to explain what happened.
“I was working in the shop today and my glove got caught into one of the machines and just smashed it, took my finger off,” he said.
“My wife and I were on the floor looking around for the piece of finger so we could put it on ice and haul [expletive] to the hospital,” he added.
Once at the hospital, Jesse James was told that, even though he’d brought the tip of the pinky with him, doctors could not re-attach it.
His Twitter reveals that he was expecting that, since he posted a photo of the stub next to the tip that was cut clean off, with the words “nice knowing you little buddy.”
He still had surgery though, with doctors grafting skin onto what was left of the finger.
“They [doctors] said it's gone. They're gonna take a skin graft off the chunk of finger and just sew it back on. I asked them if they could sew my fingerprint on upside-down, just for fun,” he joked.
“They totally trying to give me morphine, and I'm like, ‘No, I'm fine, I'm cool. I'm all right. I can just take the pain’,” he also says.
As noted above, he’s a tough guy.
