The two met in 2005 and John, charmed by the pretty and curvy blonde, told Jessica to ring him up when she will no longer be married.

Then, Mayer got his hands on a copy of her 'Public Affair' album and sent her a handwritten note saying how much he loved it. Jessica answered back and the two repeatedly kept in touch after that, says a friend of Jessica's.
