Jerry Seinfeld is not the onc to mince his words, especially when it comes to something as sacred as one’s private box for a Mets game. Following media backlash against Lady Gaga for her behavior on no less than two separate occasions and after she took his private box at the latest Mets game, Seinfeld is blasting her for being a rude jerk, MTV News informs.

At one of the most recent New York Mets game at Citi Field, Lady Gaga made an appearance in what can only be described as a very disconcerting outfit. In other words, she was wearing only a spiked brassiere, leather underwear and fishnet stockings, and a leather jacket which she used later to cover herself, when she heard audiences booing. When photographers became aware of her presence, they started snapping her picture, which, in turn, seemed to upset her.

After giving them the finger, she sought refuge in a private box – that, as it turns out, belonged to Seinfeld. “You give people the finger and you get upgraded? Is that the world we’re living in now? This woman is a jerk. I hate her. I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for,” Seinfeld says of the entire incident and how Gaga was treated even after it occurred.

Even if she was being so outrageous on purpose, the funnyman goes on to say, that still does not excuse her behavior – let alone her going into his private box like she owned it. Then again, Seinfeld muses, perhaps he’s lost touch with the way people promote themselves in recent years. “I don’t know what these young people think or how they promote their careers. I’m not one of these all-publicity-is-good people. People talk about ‘You need exposure’ – you could die of exposure,” Seinfeld adds.

In her defense, after the media went straight for her jugular for her gesture of giving the finger not only to the paparazzi but also to the fans, Gaga tweeted that people were simply reading too much into the whole situation. Moreover, she’d “bleed for [her] hometown” and give her life for her fans, so there was certainly no intention to offend anyone with her gesture, she also said.
