Actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld is using his iPhone 4 to make his first baby steps on Twitter where he will be blogging under the name of @SeinTime.

Since Friday, July 15, Seinfeld has been using his iPhone 4 to send tweets that have been read by over 150,000 fans.

“Greetings Tweetarians! I have just landed on your Planet. This could be my last Tweet,” reads his first chirp.

He confirms that "Sein Time" is a nickname Chris Rock gave him years ago.

Since Friday afternoon, the list of Twitter followers grows each day for one of the most successful and respected comedians of all time.

We would have probably never known that Seinfeld used the latest version of the Apple iPhone to send out his first tweet, but a picture taken by his friend Tom Papa (also a comedian) using an iPad 2 confirms it (displayed above).

Loved by Mac fanatics and Windows PC users alike, Seinfeld himself is known to be an Apple fan.

That, however, didn’t stop him to jump ship in 2008 when he agreed to be featured in a Microsoft ad campaign that took Apple’s ‘Get a Mac’ campaign head on.

Featuring former Microsoft CEO, Bill Gates, the counter-ads failed to make a splash, even though Seinfeld did his bit flawlessly.

At the time Apple’s Get a Mac ads were still airing, the Cupertino, California tech giant chose actor Patrick Warburton, known as David Puddy in the Seinfeld series, for one of the spots.

Coincidentally, the ad that featured Warburton also failed to impress, in what seemed like Seinfeld had jinxed advertising efforts in both camps.
