Former Penn State football coach insists key witness was out to get him

Jerry Sandusky, former Penn State football coach, is now serving a life sentence in prison after having been found guilty on 45 counts of abuse of minors, but he’s still maintaining his innocence. He’s just given his first interview ever since starting the sentence.

Check out the video below to see what he had to say.

Among other things, Sandusky insists that key witness Mike McQueary offered an inaccurate testimony and that he was, in a way, out to get him. Either that or prosecutors forced his hand to testify the way he did.

The interview, of which only fragments have been released on The Today Show, is part of a documentary by John Zieglar, who’s hoping to clear the name of Joe Paterno, head football coach at Penn State, upon release – and of Sandusky as well, if possible.

Paterno too was involved in the scandal, having been accused of covering up for Sandusky even though he’d known of the abuse for years. He died of cancer at 85 in January last year.
