Whether he’s in earnest or not with his #IAMSORRY performance art show, now underway in a Los Angeles gallery, at least Shia LaBeouf is inspiring others. As the photo above can confirm, Jerry O’Connell is plagiarizing his idea with his own show.

Which is very funny, if you think that Shia’s own show is the result of weeks of criticism for plagiarizing anything from a novel to other people’s tweets.

BuzzFeed explains that O’Connell’s show is on the same street as Shia's but, unlike his, this one is more interactive. O’Connell even copied Shia’s paper bag on the head move, with the bag now reading “Super Famous” instead of “I’m Not Famous Anymore.”

“Everyone’s talking about it, whether you want to call it art or a real apology, it’s hilarious,” O’Connell says when asked about what inspired him to do the show. Also, he was bored at home because he was on daddy duty.

“He’s getting people talking. I’m all for this artsy gallery thing. It’s fun to parody because all I have to do here is sit with a bag on my head, crying, and saying, ‘I sowwy.’ But I have to tell you; it’s freeing to continually apologize like he does. I get it,” the actor says.

What he doesn’t get is how Shia can spend so much time with a paper bag on his head, because he for one is sweaty and quite sick of smelling his own breath.

O’Connell’s show will run through to February 22 and will be included in a Funny Or Die skit.
