Actor Jeremy Renner is a well-known dog lover and, right now, he’s a desperate owner who hopes his 1-year-old French Bulldog, Hemi, is restored to him in perfect health and as soon as possible.

In mid-July, there was a power failure at the actor’s home in Runyon Canyon, near LA, and the gate opened for a short while as a safety measure. It is then that the pooch slipped out, E! News reports.

Renner has been looking for Hemi ever since, even setting up a Facebook page to ensure all those who might have tips about its whereabouts have a platform to share them on.

A reward is now being offered for tips that lead to Hemi’s return home: $5,000 (€3,777) in cash, no questions asked.

Hemi is described as “tan with a black face,” is very friendly and has a collar on, but not tags. He is not microchipped.
