This is definitely not a movie for kids, leading stars tell Matt Lauer

It’s January 2013, which means that we’re only days from the release of “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D,” one of those films that you just know will disappoint but you will still enjoy.

Leading stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton have started making TV appearances to promote it and – correct me if I’m wrong – they already seem totally over it.

For some context, you should probably know that both Jeremy and Gemma usually give awesome and very funny interviews.

Below is a video of the two on The Today Show, talking to Matt Lauer about the film and actually managing to make it sound as interesting as watching an apple rot.

Above is another recent interview, this time in Miami, in which they talk about their onscreen relationship – but it’s mostly the interviewer filling in the gaps for them, because they don’t say that much.

Word in the industry has it that the movie studio too knows that the film is a dud, which is why it was moved to January, the graveyard of underwhelming releases (and some horror films). If that’s the case, these two know it and you can tell.

“Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D” will be out on January 25 and, yes, I am going to see it. How about you?
