LulzSec hacktivist Jeremy Hammond will be sentenced today, November 15, 2013. Hammond, who is accused of hacking into the systems of Stratfor, pleaded guilty to violating the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) earlier this year.

The 28-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison, but his supporters hope that he’ll be released, considering that he has been incarcerated since March 2012.

Right before the sentencing, his supporters plan on launching a Twitter storm asking the judge to set him free.

The initiators of the operation want to get the #FreeHammond hashtag trending. The Free Jeremy Hammond group urges people to pack the courtroom to show support at his sentencing.

Additional details on the #FreeHammond Twitter storm are available on Pastebin. Those who want to take part in it are provided with example tweets, but they can also create their own.
