Jenny McCarthy is currently promoting her new movie, Dirty Love.

The story revolves around a photographer, Rebecca (Jenny McCarthy) who discovers her model boyfriend, Richard (Victor Webster), is cheating on her.

She is determined to find true love and winds up in hilarious situations along the way.
McCarthy declared she wanted to write a movie based on a woman's point of view concerning love and relationships, which had to be humorous and a "little over the edge."

I think the best comedy comes from somewhat of tragedy. So I kind of make fun of myself through my pain of my character and utilize female assets, so to speak.
I've always liked being somewhat sexy and still maintaining, you know, having hair and big boobs. I liked making fun of them, always. I never took myself seriously and I think that that's why girls still got a kick out of me because I still wanted to be cute, but I still wanted to make fun of it all, the actress said.

I sat down and wrote this character in this movie about heartbreak and love and vulnerability and craziness and tried to make it as outrageous as I possibly could. I want to do things that maybe no one has dared to do on screen before because I'm a woman, and why not get some attention and push some buttons. . . .
There's so many male screen writers out there that can't write a female comedic lead like this because they don't have those experiences, where I have, and was able to write for girls to get a kick out of it, McCarthy added.

I think everyone has had dates that have gone bad. These are beyond bad... For the most part, I just try to make fun characters and funny situations, she confessed.

Jenny insisted that the main character should be a photographer, to fit best in the movie plot.

I don't own a camera and I can't even take a picture if my life depended on it. That's what is so funny. In the movie I wanted to date a real a** h*** so I made him a model.
Someone that is very conceited and narcissistic. I thought I didn't want to be a person in this business, but I thought it would be kind of cool to be behind the lens and give me a reason to be dating a model, the actress told Comingsoon.net.

Jenny McCarthy had only great words about her collaboration with Carmen Electra, as well.

Carmen... I knew she was capable of doing great stuff, that's why I put her in my movie. I didn't know she was going to be as amazing as she was. People are going to be honestly blown away about how funny she was and how she just rocked in this role.

Dirty Love, starring Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Kam Heskin, Victor Webster, Lochlyn Munro, Kathy Griffin, Jessica Collins, David O'Donnell, Deryck Whibley, Judith Benezra, David Zappone, Elena Lyons, Ingrid Rogers was directed by John Mallory Asher.

When asked about her collaboration with Asher, Jenny said:
It was great and it was hell because we are both really creative people. Because I am the writer and the star in it I had a lot of creativity, I had a vision. And he had his own vision as a director. So we fought like cats and dogs... I was glad when he fought hard for his opinions because after watching the edit I thought, I'm glad he fought me on that one because he was right.

Jenny McCarthy, who recently starred in John Tucker Must Die (2006), is filming for the TV series Lingerie Bowl and is also working on her next screenplay called Rollin.

Right now I'm working on my third book. The other two were 'Belly Laughs' and 'Baby Laughs'... So this is like the trilogy part of it. It's called 'Life Laughs' and it will be out in May.
