Jenny McCarthy didn’t last more than one season on ABC’s morning talk show The View, and if you ask her, the reason she left was because she was tired of always being interrupted when she spoke and of not being able to be herself.

Word online has it that she was fired because viewers were turned off by her and because her arrival failed to bring the boost in ratings producers had hoped for. Whichever the reason, she’s not even close to done talking about it.

Jenny and husband Donnie Wahlberg talked to Howard Stern (via Us Weekly) about her life and career after The View, and in between saying she’d never been happier because she was finally allowed to be herself, she also said this: “They might try one more year and then I think the Titanic might go down.”

So according to Jenny, The View will crash and burn after one more season, by which time producers and viewers will have understood that, after 18 seasons, the show had outstayed its welcome. While it’s true that the show has had some major bumps in the past couple of years, its loyal fans will probably disagree with this statement.

In the same interview, Donnie claimed that one of the producers called her wife back after a few months, just like he predicted they would. Jenny tried to downplay this by saying it was never anything official, but still, it sounded like they were saying that The View was a sinking ship without her on board.

Debatable.
