Jennifer Love Hewitt Goes on Diet for Racier Role

Jennifer Love Hewitt may be heartbroken after being dumped by text message by her boyfriend of 3 months, but one thing she won't be doing is drown her sorrows in ice cream. She is officially on a diet, she says.

The actress, known for her struggles with her weight, as well as for her curvy, hourglass figure, says that she will be hitting the gym – hard – while others are giving thanks over dinner during the festive weekend.

She has plenty of motivation to do so, by the way: she will soon start working on a new series that will have her mostly in lingerie in front of the camera, People magazine reports.

“The actress, 32, says she's buckling down to prepare for January when she'll start filming racy scenes in the TV series extension of her 2010 Lifetime movie, The Client List,” People says.

In the film, Love plays a mother who starts selling herself to make ends meet, so understandably, there will be plenty of revealing scenes.

“I will be in lingerie a lot, so I'll be working out. I will not be eating for the holidays,” the actress tells the celebrity publication.

So, while her family is at home enjoying Thanksgiving dinner, Love will be at the gym, doing Pilates, even though her favorite food is mashed potatoes, which she makes to taste divinely.

“This year will be loads of fun for me,” the star jokes.

As noted above, Jennifer is single again, if one is to believe ongoing reports in the media. After just 3 months of dating 27-year-old actor Jarod Einsohn, she was dumped.

Apparently, Jarod didn't even bother to break up with her to her face or at least over the phone, choosing the cowardly way of dumping her via text, as we also informed you the other day.

Sources close to the unlucky-in-love star claim she's heartbroken but that the split didn't come as a surprise since she does tend to become a bit overbearing when she's in a relationship and it takes a serious toll on the romance.
