Though they kept a pretty low profile after the birth of their twins, Max and Esme, rumors of an imminent divorce are again plaguing Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. The couple will reportedly end the four-year marriage on Valentine’s Day 2009, during a duet, which will make the separation “bittersweet,” GateCrasher reports, citing inside sources.

Apparently, insiders are saying that things between the two singers have not been all that good lately, and that they have now decided to end the marriage on an amiable note. Always the one to go for theatrics, Jennifer is said to be considering coming up on stage at the end of Marc’s show and announce the divorce to the fans, similarly to how she also chose to let the world know – officially – that she was pregnant.

“Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14. Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell.” a friend of the couple told the mag. Naturally, Marc’s publicist has already denied the rumors, while Jennifer’s was unavailable for comment.

Speculation about trouble in the Lopez-Anthony paradise began in early December, when Jennifer showed up at the premiere of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” without her wedding band and engagement ring. Despite having just renewed their wedding vows a couple of months back in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony, Marc too was spotted around town in the company of friends sans wedding ring. “They’re definitely planning a clean break in February. Marc’s ready to move on. The fighting has been too much for him to handle lately.” insists the GateCrasher source.

Jennifer and Marc married a little over four years ago, and are the proud parents of ten-month-old twins. Rumors of a rocky marriage first emerged before Lopez announced she was pregnant, and had it that problems issued from their inability to have children.
