Jennifer Lopez’s NYE Sheer Catsuit Gets Mixed Reactions

Jennifer Lopez is preparing to take music charts by surprise again this year, once her latest album, “Love?,” is out in stores. As part of her comeback plan, the singer performed live in Times Square on New Year’s Eve and, even though a few days have passed since then, her outfit continues to be the talk of the town, as the New York Daily News can confirm.

To sing “Waiting for Tonight,” Lopez stepped on the stage in a long overcoat that she immediately tossed to the ground to reveal a skin-tight catsuit, complete with rhinestones. However, the best was yet to come, the aforementioned publication says citing witnesses on the scene: as the lights shone on Lopez, the suit became sheer, leaving little to the imagination. Given all this, it’s no wonder to note that the ensemble is still much on everybody’s mind, after all these days.

“The catsuit Jennifer Lopez wore in the last minutes of 2009 is already the talk of 2010. The sparkly, body-hugging getup she donned to perform in Times Square left little to the imagination – unless you were wondering where her famous booty went. Everyone from bloggers to Twitter addicts had an opinion about the bodysuit, which looked like it could have been swiped from Diana Ross’ closet,” the NY Daily News writes.

The general consensus is that, for a woman who is 41 and has just recently given birth to twins, Lopez’ body is incredibly fit. In fact, they say, she looks so good that she can almost get away with such a ridiculous ensemble, one that would make even Diana Ross or Tina Turner think twice before putting it on. However, others disagree: Jennifer is the perfect entertainer and, as such, her choice of an outfit is in keeping of the spirit of her performance, they say. Plus, with a body like hers, who wouldn’t want to flaunt it.

“‘It’s kinda see-through,’ laughed Jason Ray, 24, a legal assistant from Hell’s Kitchen. ‘But wow! I think she looks good after having twins!’ Bronx resident Jorge Reyes, 32, who works at 2 Bros. Pizza on Ninth Ave., gave out a wolf whistle after checking out a photo. ‘She looks stunning,’ he enthused. ‘Magnificent’,” NY Daily News writes of the reactions of some members of the audience. Host Ryan Seacrest was equally stunned by Lopez’s outfit, saying it “made [his] year.”
