Jennifer Lopez is not exactly the kind of celebrity you'd expect to display that kind of fears, but she does nevertheless. Despite her singing career which is still in full swing, despite boasting a (finally?) happy marriage with pop singer Marc Anthony and pretty much everything else she could possibly want, J Lo confesses to being afraid of losing it all. Well, yes, it's no good to get too cocky, but hey, J Lo, where's the confident chick whose whims and notorious bad temper we've all grown to tolerate? Or at least learned to live with, since the Latino diva always knew how to keep herself in the news. So where do all the sleepless nights (kidding) come from?
"I wake up every day and I worry that it all might end; you just never know in this industry" she states in an interview given while attending the Hollywood Foreign Press Luncheon. "No matter how successful you are, this is Hollywood - it's unpredictable. But it is this that motivates me just to keep working harder". Now that sounds more like the Jennifer Lopez we know, always eager to talk about one aspect or another of her career. And she does not appear to be lacking things to do, what with sharing her time between her singing, acting and all the other things that she does so well, such as promoting her perfumes and her line of clothing.
And if you think she's doing too much already, listen to what else she had to say on the topic of diversity. "I think if music is your passion, then stick to music, or if acting is your passion, then stay with that," she said. "But for me, I wanted to try a variety of things and it's the diversity that I love. But everybody is different and at the end of the day you just have to follow your heart". Well, how touching. She managed to pack about three clichs into that. But then, where does all the fear come from? And question: is this the reason for J Lo's whims and bad temper? She's not plain obnoxious, she's just trying hard to hide her fears and put on a brave face. Now there's a clich for you.
