Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will be soon husband and wife on the big screen as well. The two singers are teaming up for the indie biopic "El Cantante", directed by Leon Icasho ("Pinero").
The movie tells the story of one of the biggest Spanish-language singers of the 1970's, Hector Lavoe, who was harmed by personal tragedy and heroin addiction and died penniless from AIDS-related complications.
According to Production Weekly, Lopez will play Puchi, the wife of Hector Lavoe, portrayed by Anthony.
Shooting is set to begin next month in New York City and Puerto Rico.
Jennifer Lopez, who is currently shooting the film "Bordertown" with Antonio Banderas, also works on Tick Tock and WWII musical - based drama American Darlings, with Nicole Kidman already swimming down the pike.
J-Lo has last appeared in the drama "An Unfinished Life" with Robert Redford.
Marc Anthony's acting credits include the film "Man on Fire" and a cameo in the drama "Carlito's Way."
