Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony launch fashion collection with Kohl’s

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are launching their first joint fashion line, thanks to a partnership with Kohl’s. Plans are being made right now towards extending the apparel and accessories line with a lifestyle one.

The power couple made the announcement the other day, via a press conference to which both attended, Us Weekly says. JLo was stunning as always.

Speaking with the media, the two said that signing with Kohl’s was actually a “no-brainer” since the retailer was looking for something fresh, while they just wanted an outlet to bring their ideas into stores.

“One of the exciting things about it is that they wanted something new. They need other things that are a different style, a different sensibility and that’s why they came to us,” Jennifer explained.

Thus a new partnership was born.

“While the duo may introduce home goods in the future, apparel and accessories are the focus now,” the magazine says.

Nevertheless, if future lines depend on the success of this first one, fans shouldn’t worry: more products with the JLo and Marc stamp are bound to come soon, if only judging by the reaction to this first announcement.

Another plus for the line is that it will include absolutely any item one can think of, from pajamas to earrings and handbags, from shirts to men’s shoes.

“Lopez’s collection will feature sportswear, dresses, sleepwear, bags, jewelry and shoes for the ladies. Anthony's will include sportswear, dress shirts, suit separates, sports coats, neckwear, accessories, and shoes,” the mag further says of what fans should expect.

According to Anthony, when he helped design all of the above, the only thought on his mind was to create something that he would personally “pick and wear.”

Because of this, it’s “an amazing collection,” he says without modesty – and this should speak volumes of how confident he is of it.

As Us Weekly puts it, “Kohl’s already features collections from Lauren Conrad and Vera Wang,” so there’s bound to be some competition.
