Jennifer Lopez’s latest song after a rather long hiatus, a collaboration with Pitbull under Neptunes production, “Fresh Out the Oven,” hit the Internet the other day. Since Lopez’s name was not mentioned anywhere on the two websites set up specifically for the purpose of promoting the song, it was believed that she would not appear as such on the upcoming album, but as the dancer Lola.

Not only is Jennifer not about to unleash upon her fans another alter-ego (which may also mean she’s sticking with J.Lo), but the track that is already causing quite a stir in fan communities and on the Internet in general will not even be included on her upcoming album, People has learned. The magazine has managed to get in contact with the singer’s publicist and has thus learned that, while the song does, indeed, feature Lopez, it will not appear on the upcoming album.

Moreover, Lopez is not even close to thinking of having her name changed to Lola, the rep says. “Lopez’s new song will not appear on her upcoming album – and a Web site established to promote it, featuring a dancing female figure named Lola, has spawned rumors that Lopez has adopted a new persona.” People writes. Lopez’s publicist, though, is adamant that she’s not about to go down the same path as Beyonce and her Sasha Fierce persona.

“Lola is just for this song, it’s not her ongoing persona. It’s something fun. She hasn’t become Sasha Fierce [Beyonce’s artistic alter ego]. There won’t be anything to do with Lola on her ‘Love?’ album. This is a hot club record that the label loved and Jennifer thought was fun. Jennifer and Pitbull got together and the record leaked. Lola is a fun character just for this song.” the representative says for People magazine as regards recent speculation around the new track.

Jennifer Lopez’s album, “Love?,” is scheduled for release in January. By that time, more details regarding it will be made public and fans will get to see for themselves whether Lola will be included on the album or not because, as of now, they are not entirely convinced.
