Jennifer and Casper confirmed their breakup through unofficial channels right after the two transgender models spoke up on how Casper had picked them up online and pressed them to meet in person.
They said that the breakup had actually occurred about two months before and that it had been a gradual process because they still wanted to see if they could work it out. However, it was about two months earlier that they had started seriously considering the possibility of calling it off.
All this while celebrity pundits were saying that this was Jennifer’s way of distancing herself from the cheating scandal and, implicitly, of saving Casper’s reputation. The focus though was on keeping her out of it, of making it look as if she hadn’t been cheated on: with an album coming out in weeks, the last thing Lopez needed was for the cheating scandal to distract from the release.
Since then, whenever she’s been asked if she’s single and happy, Jennifer has put on a brave face. She’s told interviewers that it’s true she and Casper are no longer an item and hinted that the romance had simply lived out its course, but that they remained good friends and would always cherish and love each other.

Just recently, an insider says, Jennifer put on quite a scene at her LA home after a few glasses of champagne, when she could no longer find it in her to keep up appearances. The brave façade crumbled.
“Jennifer recently had a complete meltdown. She started throwing framed photos of Casper against the wall — there was broken glass everywhere, and the maid had to clean up after her. It was a crazy scene,” says the spy.
Yes, Jennifer has been seeing Maksim Chmerkovskiy (known to fans for being one of the pro dancers on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars) for some weeks, but he’s not really filling the empty place left behind by Casper.
“She’s still dealing with her emotions over Casper,” the report notes. The cheating and the following scandal have really broken Jennifer’s heart.
