Jennifer Lopez Gushes About “Bear” Casper Smart on Katie Couric – Video

Now that it’s official that she’s dating her backup dancer / choreographer, Jennifer Lopez is feeling a bit more confident in the relationship to talk about it in front of the cameras – which is precisely what she did on Katie Couric’s “Katie” show.

JLo and Smart started dating shortly after she announced the end of her marriage to singer Marc Anthony, which instantly prompting speculation about this being just “a rebound thing.”

They have been together ever since, with Smart advancing from backup dancer to tour choreographer and a fixture in Jennifer and her kids’ lives.

As the video below will confirm, on “Katie,” Jennifer reveals which were the things that first attracted her to Casper and, believe it or not, it wasn’t his impressive physique but rather his intelligence and the fact that he’s outgoing.

Jennifer also credits Casper with helping her get through the divorce from Marc, and for being there for her when she least expected it.

She insists they “just clicked” and that, at the time, she wasn’t even thinking of dating someone, so fresh off the split from Marc.

As for the age difference (Casper is Jennifer’s junior by 18 years), she stresses it’s something they rarely, if ever, think about.

“It’s hard for me to think of my age. I feel very youthful. And I feel very comfortable in my own skin. And it’s funny, until somebody brings it up, I don’t think we really think about it,” she says.

“We’re enjoying each other’s company and he’s a great support system and he’s great at what he does,” Jennifer further says of the new man in her life, whom she likes to call “Bear” in the privacy of their home.

Later in the show, “Bear” too made an appearance to do that which he does best, dance. However, he didn’t take JLo for a spin, but Katie herself.
