Things between Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have taken a nasty turn, following reports that he's not at all pleased with her romance with a much younger man. Determined to move on from the failed marriage, Jennifer will be giving away all the jewelry Marc ever gave her.
A source claiming to be close to the diva is telling the press that this is basically Jennifer's way of getting closure, the
Daily Mail informs.
The way Marc has been acting lately because of her romance with Casper Smart, a 24-year-old backup dancer, must have surely contributed to the decision.
As such, Jennifer will be selling or giving away all jewelry and clothing items Marc have her during their relationship and marriage.
This also includes her engagement ring, which she was still wearing a couple of weeks ago, with a gorgeous rare blue 8.5-carat diamond.
The ring alone is believed to have cost Marc $4 million (€3.08 million). However, Jennifer is also getting rid of clothes and other gifts she received from her ex-husband throughout the years.
“When Jennifer moves on, she totally moves on,” the unnamed insider explains.
Casper Smart will probably notice the same MO when his time comes too, since Jennifer has been doing this for years.
“[Casper] will likely discover he will 'disappear' when she tires of him too. It was true when she split with Ben [Affleck], Diddy [Sean Combs] and obviously Ojani Noa,” the insider adds.
As we
also noted yesterday, while they parted ways amicably, things have been growing tense between the two, mostly on account of her relationship with the dancer.
Just recently, Marc reportedly banned Casper from driving his and Jennifer's twins because of an outstanding rap sheet for driving-related incidents, including drag racing and speeding.
Marc and Jennifer are yet to file for divorce: they're supposedly talking about the division of assets and the kids' custody before they take matters to court.
