Shortly after announcing her split from Marc Anthony, her husband of 7 years and the father of her children, Jennifer Lopez was already back to work. She’s now in Ukraine, performing at a private wedding party, it has emerged. Reportedly heartbroken over the demise of her marriage, going back to work was the best thing that Lopez could have done, inside sources say for Us Magazine.
Plus, if it doesn’t help her with getting over the divorce, the private gig will at least make her feel better knowing that she’s $1 million richer – and all in a single night.
“Days after announcing
their breakup, the American Idol judge flew to the Ukraine to perform at a wedding for billionaire Serhiy Taruta’s daughter,” the aforementioned publication writes.
“Arriving at 5 a.m. Tuesday, the 41-year-old superstar will reportedly earn $1 million
for the gig,” Us further says.
As for how JLo is dealing with the divorce, sources close to her, who prefer to speak out under the cover of anonymity, say that she’s devastated and doesn’t know what to do next with her life.
Admittedly, Lopez was always the one who put the most effort to make the marriage work, but she still feels as if the divorce was a personal failure.
She really wanted her relationship with Marc to last and is very upset that it didn’t.
“She is devastated. Absolutely beside herself. This is someone she dedicated a long time to, and that she truly loved,” an unnamed spy says for the same celebrity publication.
“She tried everything she could to make it work. They went to marriage counseling. She was patient and loving and did everything he wanted her to. She exhausted all the possibilities,” adds the insider.
Now that she’s single – more or less against her will, the spy seems to argue – Jennifer will pour all her energy into being the best mother to the twins she can be and, of course, in her career and her future projects.
“She is jumping back into work and being a mom with all her energy and she is really excited. She feels like she has grown leaps and bounds and is a new person now, better than ever!” the spy adds.
