Just last week, Jennifer Lopez said in her first interview on the topic since divorce rumors have started to circulate, that she was fed up with people making up stories about the state of her marriage to Marc Anthony. As it turns out, she’s so sick of rumors that, at last night’s Latino Inaugural Gala in DC, she proudly flashed her wedding ring on the red carpet.

To say that Jennifer made sure the photographers got pictures of her with her ring on the finger would probably be an understatement at this point. As several media outlets are reporting, she wanted no one to miss her silent statement, so she held the pose (first photo on the left) for longer than she would have under normal circumstances. Her stand should now be more than enough to get tabloids to stop talking about an allegedly imminent divorce from husband Marc Anthony, it has been noted.

Rumors of a legal separation began after Jennifer was spotted on several occasions sans her wedding band or engagement ring, a breathtaking 8.2 carat Neil Lane ring she was once extremely proud of. The most recent such occasion was on the night of the Golden Globes, when Lopez opted for a revealing gold gown, ditching the diamond ring for a large red ruby piece.

Days after that, Jennifer issued her first statement addressing divorce rumors. The ring was missing from her finger, she said, because it simply did not match the dress she had chosen for the gala, as “Divorce is not – and was never – an option,” as she told In Touch Weekly magazine. “Every time I’m not wearing my ring, people think I’m getting divorced. That’s crazy! It just didn’t go with the dress.” the diva added for the same publication.

Other than proudly showing her ring last night, Jennifer Lopez also posed for countless photos next to Marc Anthony, the two being the picture of marital bliss. Also in attendance were Paula Rubio and Shakira.
