Jennifer Lopez is a veteran of the stage, having performed all over the world and most recently at the FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony, so it's safe to say that she's got a reputation to uphold. She came through with that reputation when she accidentally cut her knee on stage during the iHeartRadio Pool Party this weekend but just kept on playing.

The Latin singer didn't seem to be phased by a bleeding knee when she took the stage at the Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami over the weekend for a large number of screaming fans attending the Ultimate Pool Party organized by iHeartRadio.

In the video that has since came out, Jennifer Lopez can be seen hitting her knee on the stage during a dance routine, just as the camera cuts away to a shot of the crowd. But instead of stopping the performance to attend to her wound, the singer kept on singing and dancing as if nothing had happened.

If you were in the crowd, you probably didn't even notice that Jennifer was hurt, since she completed her performance flawlessly, without letting anybody on that she'd suffered a cut on her knee. The only visible sign was a stain of blood on her fishnets that appeared a couple of songs into her performance.

Later, the singer proudly showed off her battle scar on Instagram, smiling from behind a bloodied and bruised knee. She told fans that she was going to be OK, and proving that the “show must go on,” she was seen dropping to her knee in the same move during her routine the following night.

Now we can literally say that Jennifer has bled on the stage for her music, which isn't something that many musicians today can boast about. Granted, it wasn't a life-threatening injury, but when your routine includes so much dancing, such a cut could make it difficult to carry out all of the dancing and not show any grimace of pain.

Jennifer is still promoting her latest studio album “A.K.A.” with numerous performances and TV appearances. Her latest venture was playing a free concert in her native Bronx, as a sign of appreciation to the locals, but the turnout was less than what the organizers had expected, despite the fact that they gave out thousands of tickets for free.

At the time, the singer was accused that she had lost touch with her old neighborhood and that she didn't give back as much as people would have wanted her to. It just goes to show that you really can’t please all of the people all of the time.
