Before stardom, many of today's fashion icons started out as models

Stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Taylor Swift may be rocking the red carpet these days with fabulous outfits by famous designers and being copied by women all over the world, but things weren't always so.

Like most teens starting out in the industry, be they singers or actors, Jennifer and Taylor had to settled for less glamorous modelling jobs, such as teen apparel brand Abercrombie & Fitch. In photos obtained by Teen Vogue Magazine, you can see younger versions of the girls, sporting casual wear in black and white photos.

And don't be fooled into thinking that it's strictly a woman's job. Some of today's Hollywood hunks have also earned their chops by modeling clothes. Stars that today play in top grossing movies, such as Channing Tatum or Kellan Lutz, that ooze manliness, can be seen in the same spread, looking innocent and boisterous.

The photos are taken 10 years ago and give us a glimpse into the past of some very popular stars today. The campaign for the heritage brand was photographed by the venerable Bruce Weber who is known for snapping just about every who's who in Hollywood.

It's amazing how fast of their careers rocketed and how much they changed during the last decade, but the A&F shoot remains a fun reminder of their younger selves.

Today, Jennifer Lawrence is leading the race for the Oscars with her role in the film “American Hustle,” while at the same time being the leading actor in the popular teen saga “The hunger Games.”

Taylor Swift is also at the top of her game, having won several important awards in the music industry and continuing her newest tour called “Red.”

For Channing Tatum and Kellan Lutz, it's been a steady rise to ever more important roles. Tatum is coming out with the sequel to the 80s classic “21 Jump Street” and Kellan has just featured in “The Legend of Hercules.”
