Actress Jennifer Jason Leigh married her long-term boyfriend, independent film writer-director Noah Baumbach.
Leigh, 43, and Baumbach, 35, got married in a secret location, over the Labor Day weekend. Baumbach confirmed the news on Monday to US magazine People, while he was at the New York Film Festival premiere of his drama "The Squid And The Whale".
He was enthused: "I expect to be with her the rest of my life." The actor also confessed they would spend their time part at Leigh's home state of California and part at Baumbach's beloved Big Apple. As he explains, "We're New Yorkers with a country place in Los Angeles."
"The Squid and the Whale", directed by Noah Baumbach, based on the true childhood experiences of Noah and his brother, tells the touching story of two young boys in Brooklyn, dealing with their parents divorce in the 80's.
The patriarch (Jeff Daniels) of an eccentric Brooklyn family claims to once have been a great novelist, but he has settled into a teaching job.
When his wife (Laura Linney) discovers a writing talent of her own, jealousy divides the family, leaving two teenage sons to forge new relationships with their parents. Linney's character begins dating her younger son's tennis coach. Meanwhile, Daniels' character has an affair with the student his older son is pursuing.
