For 4 whole years, Jennifer Hudson was a Weight Watchers spokesperson and, even if she cut ties with the company earlier this month, she would probably remain a good role model for ever. Jessica Simpson is now the spokesperson for the weight loss program and, as far as Hudson is concerned, they couldn’t have picked a worse celebrity to endorse it.

Jennifer was overweight when she started on the program but managed to lose the extra weight steadily, in a healthy manner, by keeping to a strict diet and workout routine. Just as importantly, Jennifer didn’t just shift the extra weight but she also managed to keep it off.

To this day, she is in excellent shape: slender and toned, Jennifer is perhaps the best example of how to go about losing weight, if you ever find yourself in need of some motivation.

Jessica Simpson, on the other hand, is not – or so Jennifer believes, according to insiders speaking to the latest print issue of the National Enquirer (story via CB). Jessica often indulges in unhealthy, calorie-laden treats and goes for long stretches without working out, and, even if it weren’t for her 2 pregnancies, she always had trouble staying in shape.

Simpson has no discipline whatsoever and, the Oscar-winner believes, it’s unfathomable why any respectable weight loss company would put her at the forefront of any campaign.

“Jennifer felt that she was the perfect role model for Weight Watchers. She lost an enormous amount of weight slowly and steadily, and maintained her figure. Meanwhile, Jessica’s weight yo-yoed and she also took time-outs for her two pregnancies,” an insider tells the tab of how Jennifer feels about Jessica coming to replace her as Weight Watchers spokesperson.

Speaking of the pregnancies, Jennifer also believes Jessica “used” them to get WW to back out on her sticking to the terms of the contract. She signed it after she gave birth to her first child and was reportedly paid an astronomical sum for it. Then, amid speculation that she couldn’t lose weight, she announced a second surprise pregnancy.

This was just a way to “buy time and gain sympathy,” Jennifer believes, as per the report. But Jessica isn’t shy of using her entire arsenal when it comes to gaining sympathy.

“Jennifer isn’t the type of person to post revealing shots of her body, play the sexpot card or use her personal life to bolster her career [but Jessica will…]. When Jessica signed on with Weight Watchers, Jennifer was her biggest cheerleader. But Jennifer came to think that Jessica didn’t take the program as seriously as she did,” the insider continues.

Before Weight Watchers announced they would be letting Jennifer Hudson out of her contract, she tweeted (and deleted) something about how “Sometimes you have to step back and let your work speak for you, and when that doesn’t work you walk away knowing you did your best.”

So chances are strong this was no amicable parting, but we will probably never know for sure if Jennifer really feels this way about Simpson’s appointment as the face and body of the weight loss program.
