Jennifer Hudson has a new music video out and it’s probably her most emotional so far. It’s called “I Still Love You” and it’s her bit in the fight for marriage equality, in a partnership with MTV and Logo, for the #All50 marriage equality campaign.

You can see it in full and in HD below. It tells the story of a gay male couple preparing for their wedding day, with one of the grooms still trying to reach his father to see if he would be at the wedding.

From footage shot inside the dad’s house, we understand that he’s the more conservative type and has probably not spoken to his son since he came out to him. He doesn’t pick up the phone or show any signs of wanting to head out to the wedding, but he eventually arrives and gives his son and new husband a loving hug.

Speaking with MTV about the video, Hudson, who also happens to be one of the most powerful and instantly recognizable voices of her generation, says that the message is clear: love is love and everyone should be free to legally be with the person they love.

“I thought it would be powerful to take a concept like trying to find your equality in love no matter who you love. I hope people walk away with a broader perspective of marriage equality,” she adds.

She’s joining the millions of voices asking for the legalization of gay marriage in all American states.
