14 DAY TRIAL // Jennifer Hudson has changed a lot since she first shot to international fame as the American Idol reject who went on to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her first major movie role, in “Dreamgirls.” Add a new and totally hot pixie cut to the list of changes.
Last year, the singer / actress was trying to make bangs work and, just a few weeks ago, she was wearing her long, pitch-black hair in loose curls, so imagine the surprise when she walked the red carpet at the Black Girls Rock! BET event a few nights ago looking so different.
The event took place at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, N.J., with Us Weekly confirming that Jennifer debuted her new haircut on the red carpet.
As if that wasn’t enough to leave her fans with their jaw on the floor, she also wore a tiny black Balmain dress that highlighted her tiny and super toned figure.
Jennifer signed with Weight Watchers and, throughout 2010, she lost almost all the extra weight she’d been carrying, which amounted to about 80 pounds (36.2 kg) by going on a healthy eating plan, combined with rigorous and regular exercise.
As for the pixie cut, let’s admit it: while it’s the latest “thing” with female celebrities right now, not all of them can make it work as fiercely as Jennifer does. It highlights her face and, at the same time, makes her appear more stylish, even if you don’t think it would be possible.
Such a bold cut takes a certain type of woman to make it work because, beyond the physical requirements (not all shapes of face go with it), she also has to have a certain attitude and a healthy dose of fierceness.
