14 DAY TRIAL // Jennifer Garner has finally put the mom jeans and snickers aside to show her fans why she ever came to be known as a fashion icon in the first place. Gracing the cover and pages of the January issue of W Magazine, the stunning actress opens up about her gorgeous family and how she and husband Ben Afleck plan on adding more to it.
They often keep their personal life private, which would perhaps explain the fascination they hold for the paparazzi. Jennifer and Ben, together with their two children, are considered the closest thing Hollywood has to a normal family and this is most likely behind the massive interest they generate in the media and with the fans. In interviews too, Jennifer comes across as very accessible and, for it, the more lovable.
“We were together for a year, and we just started breeding. We were like, ‘Let’s have a baby!’ And eight days later…” the former “Alias” star says of her and Ben’s decision to have a baby. So their first daughter, Violet, was born, with whom Jennifer is often photographed doing fun stuff together and not just going out shopping, like many other celebrity moms. On Halloween, they even dressed like Fred & Ted, with Garner now saying that, “I just was so fat and huge and ugly and in a furry dog costume. And of course there were tons of paparazzi outside and I couldn’t escape them! (laughs)”
Aside from being a wonderful mom and a doting wife, Jennifer is also an excellent friend. In fact, she says, the only thing she finds impossible to deal with when shooting on location is the absence of her girlfriends. “I miss my girlfriends! That’s the hardest thing about being on location when it’s not for your own project. When it’s for you, you’re on set with everybody you know, but if not, it’s lonely. I can live with Ben working crazy hours. But I can’t live without girlfriends… It’s fine if he’s not there; I just need someone to [complain] about it to,” she tells W.
An anti-diva if we ever saw one, Jennifer Garner must surely be one of the hardest working and modest actresses around. At 37 years of age, she seems to have done what is considered impossible by many, namely reconcile a career in the spotlight with a normal and incredibly happy life at home, which transpires through her every word and even photo.
