“Alias” star has just welcomed a healthy baby girl, it has been confirmed. Jennifer Garner gave birth to her second child on Tuesday, as her spokesperson informs People magazine. The pregnancy was first made official to the media in the summer of 2008, by Jennifer’s former “Alias” co-star and best friend Victor Garber.

Although no other details have been made public so far, it is believed that both the child and the new mommy are doing well, and are in perfect health, somewhere at a Los Angeles clinic. “Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl.” is all that Garner’s publicist would reveal to the magazine.

However, US Magazine seems to have a spy inside the yet unnamed hospital, as it’s able to report that it has it from certain sources that both mother and baby are well. “A smiling Garner was spotted being wheeled on a roll-away hospital bed as she was taken to her room. A blanket was draped over her, and it appeared that she was holding the baby. Shortly after, the hospital staff brought in a portable bassinet and heart monitor to check on the baby.” the mag writes in today’s issue.

Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to three-year-old Violet, who was born shortly after the two actors got hitched in a surprise ceremony at the Parrot Cay resort on the Turks and Caicos Islands. The wedding was officiated by none other than Victor Garber himself, close friend of Jennifer’s and also the same to reveal to the media her second pregnancy.

Despite their low-key relationship, both Ben and Jen have often discussed the issue of having more children. “We definitely wonder what it would be like to have another. Hopefully, knock on wood, someday.” Jennifer told Marie Claire in 2007. Then, after they got to see their wish come true, Ben admitted to Access that “We're very happy. Things couldn't be better. We're kind of taking it easy and just kind of enjoying a little downtime at home.”
