Jennifer Garner Gave Birth to Her First Child

According to US Weekly magazine, "Alias" star Jennifer Garner has given birth to a baby girl, to actor-husband Ben Affleck.

The new dad is said to be 'ecstatic' over the arrival of little Violet.

Sources quoted by "The National Enquirer" say Jennifer and Ben dashed to Cedar Sinai clinic at 10:30 pm on Wednesday night, and that the baby was born at 10 am on Thursday.

All this time, Ben supported his wife, not leaving her for a second.

Three days earlier than expected, and five months after the couple's wedding on the isle of Turks and Caicos, the baby arrived.

Jen and Ben had announced both their marriage and Garner's pregnancy in June this year. They had begun dating last year, months after Affleck and Jennifer Lopez had called off their engagement.

As for Garner, she had filed for divorce from first husband, actor Scott Foley, in 2003, after 2 and-a-half years of marriage.
In order to welcome the newborn, Ben Affleck has been fighting to give up his smoking habits.
