A day after Ben Affleck spoke for the first time on landing the Batman role in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” sequel, a recent video of his wife Jennifer Garner defending him is picking up traction online.

You can see it in full below.

Garner was at TIFF earlier this month to promote her new film, “Dallas Buyers Club” and, speaking with MTV, she also addressed the Internet hate Ben has been getting since Warner Bros. went public with their casting news.

“I was excited for him,” Garner says of her reaction upon hearing Ben would be Batman.

“I was excited because he had a real take on what he wanted to do, and you know, I have to say, my husband is a pretty great storyteller himself, and I'm excited to watch him do it,” she adds.

She also says she’s heard Ben practice the Batman voice but she won’t offer more details.

Word online has it that Affleck has already signed on for several movies as the famous Caped Crusader so, whether the Internet thinks he was a good choice or not, the Internet would better get used to the idea because Ben really isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
