A possible new love triangle is now born from the ashes of the previous season of “Dexter,” Showtime's hit killer series. Jennifer Carpenter is reportedly romancing married Jonny Lee Miller, after becoming friends with him on the show.

“Dexter” fans must also know of the rumors that surrounded news of the divorce of the two leads, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who play brothers on the show.

First, word got out that it was Jennifer who decided to pull the plug on the marriage after she learned that Michael had been unfaithful to her with none other than Julia Stiles, who also had a role on the previous season.

Today, the print issue of the Enquirer (story via here) seems to imply there was more to the breakup, and that Carpenter too was partially to blame.

Admittedly, she and Miller got very close while shooting. They became such good friends that, when the season wrapped and her marriage fell apart, she turned to him for consolation.

This in itself wouldn't be that bad, since it's not uncommon for a man to be just friends with a woman, the tab says.

The problem is that the two are moving into “more than friends” territory and Miller is married.

“Jennifer was an emotional wreck after her split from Michael, and Jonny has been her support system,” says an insider.

“Recently, Jonny has been in the habit of regularly phoning and texting Jennifer and spending more time with her. Jonny’s wife Michele was OK with the friendship for a while, but pals think lately she worries that they’ve become too close,” the pal dishes.

“Michele wants him to pay more attention to her and less to Jennifer,” says the spy.

Michele isn't the only one to pick up on this either, the report further argues. Michael C. Hall, now Jennifer's ex, has also noticed something strange between the two and reportedly even confronted Miller about it.

“Jonny went on the defensive, assuring Michael there was nothing to worry about. The two are on good terms now, but I think there were a lot of bad feelings at first,” says the same spy.

Other reports say that Hall is now dating a woman who is 15 years his junior, but that he's keen to keep all details of his private life out of the spotlight, as we also informed you a while back.

An explanation for all these intricate, soap-opera-worthy alleged love stories could probably be found in these actors' determination to draw the line between their career and personal life.
