Just recently, Jennifer Aniston took the plunge and got her first tattoo ever, a word written on the inside of her right foot. Contrary to reports, the inking is not for her beau Justin Theroux, but in the memory of her dead dog, Norman.

Whenever she would speak of Norman, who’s been with her for 15 years before passing away in May this year, Jennifer would refer to him as “my boy.”

His death reportedly left her devastated – so devastated that even her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, now with Angelina Jolie, reportedly called her to console her.

On Friday, while out and about in NYC, Jen allowed paparazzi a glimpse of her first-ever tattoo, leaving them to wonder about its meaning.

People is now reporting that she got it for Norman, the pet and friend she lost earlier this year.

“The actress got her first tattoo on the inside of her right foot, and it reads ‘Norman,’ her rep tells People. It is Aniston’s favorite word after all!” the magazine writes.

Apparently, Aniston too confirmed it during a recent taping of Inside the Actors Studio, where she came accompanied by her current beau, actor Justin Theroux.

“The 42-year-old got a little teary telling James Lipton that during a taping of Inside the Actors Studio on Thursday. Norman was her Welsh corgi-terrier mix, who died in May at 15 years old,” People further reports.

As we also noted yesterday, because she recently went public with her relationship with Theroux, when word of her first, brand new tattoo got out in the press, many assumed she got it to make a statement about the romance.

This seemed to confirm reports that things were getting serious between Aniston and Theroux, especially since it came after the two were spotted wearing matching gold rings in public.

As such, since Aniston got the tattoo for her dog, it could be that she’s had it for longer than the public knows.
