The other day, while premiering the romantic comedy “Just Go With It” in Spain, Jennifer Aniston unveiled a shorter, lighter ‘do: a blonde bob. Her stylist explains it to Allure, saying it was time for a change.

Fans of the actress must already know that she’s not the type than changes her hairstyle every other month, which would explain why the mere fact that she got highlights is making headlines.

However, the new bobbed ‘do came even more of a shock since she unveiled it two days after appearing in Berlin with her older hairstyle.

Her stylist, Chris McMillan, explains to Allure why the decision was so sudden and what it was exactly that prompted it: Jen didn’t want to look like one of the Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“There are so many long, layered hairstyles and – don’t get me wrong, I love that. But The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills all have that. You know what I mean? And what’s the opposite direction you can go in,” McMillan, who has worked with Aniston for years, says.

“It was just time for a change. We had a blast doing it. And we’ve always liked this haircut. It’s about keeping things simple,” the celebrity hairstylist explains.

As for why they went with a bob instead of a shorter, layered ‘do, McMillan says it’s back on trend again.

“I’m loving bobs again,” McMillan says, adding it’s an elegant yet still very hot look.

McMillan is the same stylist responsible for the insanely popular hairstyle known as “The Rachel” that Aniston debuted on the television series “Friends” and which is one of the most copied celebrity hairstyles of all times.

Speaking of it a while back, also in an interview with Allure, the actress said it was one of the worst haircuts she ever got and, at the same time, the one ‘do she hated at the time and continues to do so to this day.
