Jennifer Aniston is the cover girl of the latest issue of Red magazine. In the accompanying interview, the actress opens up about her love of comedies, her inspiration and, last but not least, her love life – and the possibility of eloping with George Clooney, in particular.
The actress, who’s been more in the tabloids with her rumored romantic interests than she’s been for her movies (which is odd for an actress, her fans point out), calls fame a “beast” that she deals with to the best of her abilities.
There’s only one person in this world to be able to deal with this constant media attention with the same calm as she does: George Clooney.
When the Red interviewer suggests Aniston may as well start dating Clooney, elope with him and then get immediately pregnant and have three babies “in rapid succession,” as a way to shut the world up, Jen almost chokes with laughter.
“That would definitely shut up the world! I could call up George, say, ‘Hon, let’s just get hitched and have kids…’” Jennifer laughs.
“I should take George to lunch and we can figure out how to put an end to all this… Ha! Well… No,” she adds.
Come to think of it, she’s not even that much of a fan of dating, she goes on to say. Yes, she meets people and she gets to hang around very interesting men, but she doesn’t date in the basic sense of the word.
“You have to normalize it! You would die otherwise. But no, I’m not a big fan of dating. I have dinner with male friends and it’s instantly, ‘that’s the new man’,” she says.
From here on, madness ensues.
“The phone is ringing off the hook from your publicist saying, ‘Did you have dinner with so and so?’ and it’s ‘yes, I did and no, I’m not.’ So you sort of just meet people,” the star adds.
