Jennifer Aniston is done with (now former) BFF Chelsea Handler because she didn’t know to keep her mouth shut and babbled about Angelina Jolie in a stand-up comedy show, it has emerged.
The story goes back a couple of weeks, when Handler took a jab at Jolie in front of a live audience, on stage, calling her a “homewrecker” (and some other things), presumably because
Aniston had confided in her that she had still feelings about ex Brad Pitt.
In the following days, Handler continues to badmouth Angelina, saying she’d always been doing the same – much to Aniston’s dissatisfaction, as rumors would have it.
In the end, Aniston warned Handler to stop talking about her arch-rival (at least in the tabs) or she’d break off any relationship she had with her.
PopEater says she’s done it already.
“Jennifer Aniston was so mortified by Chelsea Handler’s dig at her nemesis Angelina Jolie that America’s sweetheart has decided to distance herself from the loudmouth comedian and keep her at an arm’s length,” the e-zine says.
A source close to Aniston confirms that, while the two didn’t fight or anything like that, Jen has clearly distanced herself from Handler.
“Jen and Chelsea haven’t officially fallen out but they certainly won’t be going on vacation together for a long time unless Chelsea promises to never talk about Angelina again,” says the spy.
“She understands that what Chelsea did was out of loyalty, but it didn’t help. In fact, it made things worse,” the same source dishes.
The decision to distance herself from the television personality and comedienne may have also been prompted by her
other best friend, former “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox.
As we
also noted a while back, Cox admittedly warned Aniston that only bad things would befall her if she continued to be friends with “trailer trash” Chelsea, because she’d completely ruin her good-girl image with her big mouth.
