14 DAY TRIAL // Presumably after she recovered her senses – she collapsed when she heard of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's engagement – Jennifer Aniston decided to be the better person and send flowers to the future bride, says a new report.
Even more shockingly, the two have actually called a truce on their longstanding feud (which may be or may not be half imagined by the tabloids), talked through their differences and are more or less reconciled.
In fact, claims the Enquirer in its latest print issue (story via CB), Angelina and Jennifer are set to have lunch sometime this summer, when they're both in London working on separate projects.
“Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston have vowed to put aside their differences after Jennifer, 43, sent flowers to Angie, 36, congratulating her on her engagement to Jen’s ex-husband Brad Pitt, the Enquirer has learned exclusively,” the tab writes.
“The gesture prompted Angie to call Jennifer to thank her, which led to an invitation to lunch in London late this summer. Jennifer will be in England getting ready to film a new movie, 'Miss You Already,' while Angelina is working on two projects overseas,” the report adds.
Admittedly, Aniston spent $1,000 (€811.5) on the flowers, thinking the gesture will show Brad, once and for all, that she's really over him and the way he chose to end their marriage so many years ago, after allegedly cheating on her with co-star Jolie.
Brad, on the other hand, is already “freaking out,” thinking about what will happen when the two finally come face to face after all these years.
“He envisions the two women pulling hair and punching at each other over the bad blood they’ve harbored for years. He’s vehemently advised Angie against the meeting,” an insider tells the publication.
He might as well be right, adds another unnamed source: even if the two act as if they're over the drama, it will certainly change once they meet.
“Jen and Angelina have hated each other for years, and they’ve each thought long and hard about what they’d say if they ever got face to face,” says the second source, one of Aniston's friends.
“Angelina will be going on the attack about Jen always playing the victim – and Jen is going to blast back to Angie for being Hollywood’s greatest husband stealer,” the tipster adds.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt got engaged this spring, and are believed to be preparing for a summer wedding at an undisclosed location to avoid the media frenzy.
